River Searching for the Sea: Leap of Faith

I have tried one more thing. I don’t know if it will turn out the way I want, but I am at peace knowing I am where I am supposed to be. I can be calm where I am without knowing where I am going. Like a river hoping for the sea, I know not the path ahead but I know someday I will reach my outlet, I’m where I am supposed to be.

--

Some days I may cry the sea in rain,

Or overflow in a storm.

April may be my enemy for the deadness that makes its norm.

For the dirt and all the grime,

And the pollution of what is good,

Sinuosity in places I never planned

Running off from all I would.

Some days I speak too much,

And others I sit in silence.

Some stretches are calm and peaceful,

Some rapids filled with violence.

Like a river that searches for the sea,

I know not my path’s sinuotisty or the ways the path will wind,

But as I dream of the final outlet, I'm at peace knowing this is where I am supposed to be.
