While you're hit by The Man,
Let you mind take you away to another land.
Through the backs of my eyes rain of tears will flow,
But fall inside so they'll never know.
Tomorrow's something that never came
Just a lengthened day of rain,
For forty days and for sleepless nights
Fall pouring down behind the sights
Behind the walls and windows clear
But with the turbulence it's so unclear.
Just leave me an impression of the days we had
A friend to find inside your Dad.
With watery eyes cast to stormy skies
Dear Father can you hear me cry?
When dangerous thoughts are in my head
My fingers blue and thoughts are red,
Surviving but still feeling dead
Drive insane or should we walk together instead?
Under lockdown the door will close,
Keep key somewhere beneath my nose,
Lock up the colourful life inside,
Cause there's nowhere to run we can only hide.
Someday I'll send a little crow,
And it will tell me where the grass does grow,
When he says ground is green and sky is clear,
Will I insist it's greener in here?
