Please don't treat people as objects that are just there to highlight your own self-image. Expressing yourself is a positive thing, not trying to diminish others, and not using people as props.

In certain moments we as people give in to insecurity; nobody is perfect. But we cannot give up on that. Embracing a tendency to hurt other people for personal gain —even if it's ego-based and not material gain— is to embrace greed.
