If you have lost who you are to an unmarked grave
Then you must find a mountain; that is where you'll carve your name.
At the foot dig a grave where a seed you must plant,
And remember the feelings your mind says you can't.
Let it be the eulogy of who you will be and who you once were:
The dark and the light and remember the hurt.
Someone you once loved and someone else's need,
Feel the weight of the world and the sting of its greed.
Do not try to be 'strong' but allow the tears to flow,
Remake a first impression on someone you already know.
You meet a new person every every time you wake up
And remember your name, believe it or not it's enough.
If you try to remember but still cannot cry
Wait for the rain and let the sky be your eye.
Let it replenish the streams of the valley green,
And drink up the lessons of form past mistakes you've gleaned.
Each one of these is something that took something from you,
But you have moment from here on to take something from it too.
The rain will give that new seed a fresh start,
Replenish the rivers of lifeblood in your heart.
Then draw up the streams and work hard to haul them away
To the grave of the seed and the one who passed away.
Whether it's in buckets or one pristine drop at a time,
For that little seed each tear is sublime.
Whether it's new feelings or what you already know,
Return to your name and something will grow.
