Every drop speaks a word
Spoken once as for all;
Together can babble a brook
Or roar a waterfall.
Around a blue swirly world
Of clouds mowing like a herd.
Voices all together
Are sure to be heard.
But it stars with a single beat
So don't cry when you fall.
When clouds loom overhead
It is time to sing.
A note in a chorus
To sooth a burning bridge
Harmonize with tears
Flowing down each icy ridge
In the winter of a soul
When cold edges run sharp
And frostbite nibbles
On the strings of the heart,
Recant the words
To the song you sing
Etch them into snowflakes
As gifts to the ground in spring.
Dissonant or not
The rain makes a song.
Even if nobody asks you
Mind as well dance along.
