(My Own) Quora Question: What does emotional depth mean to you?

In my mind it involves being ready to be honest with ourselves about how we feel about things, even if emotions are mixed or subtle, or perhaps our feelings seem at first contradictory or not what we’d expect of ourselves.

The next step would be looking “deeper” or reflecting on those feelings to try to identify the cause behind what we feel, how those feelings interact, and how they motivate an/or affect our actions. Then, it can help a person channel or face them with integrity to what is most important to us. It can also lead to leaning from it for the future to better understand both ourselves and others.

Just a note, although after some time spent thinking I started to formulate my own answer, my favourite answer to this question is Rachel Green's, which can be found on the question's page at https://www.quora.com/What-does-emotional-depth-mean-to-you
