I cried all night. I was silent all day. I prayed, and thought, "I think our lives are ruined. People say to keep the candle of hope alive, but how are her mom and I supposed to live the rest of our lives with just a small, fragile candle of hope amoung so much immense darkness?"
Without knowing it, a good friend sent a direct message with what I needed to hear:
"I was going to read Romans 15:13. The scripture was very encouraging.
Regarding this scripture a Watchtower article in 2006 made comments, it said "hope can be likened, not to a candle in the darkness, but to the brilliant rays of the morning sun, filling one’s life with peace, happiness, purpose, and courage."
