The Best Colour Websites I Use

• For wall paints: https://encycolorpedia.com/

They have LRV, similar paint colours with different companies, info on undertones

• To display colour palettes, and generate palettes from photos: https://coolors.co/

—Though I always have to manually move the bubbles for the generator from image. Pro tip when you generate the palettes, know you can't just copy and paste the URL to save it somewhere else without having to save the whole thing as a "favourite" to an account. (Which is limited with premium, and sometimes glitches out and doesn't work)

• For palette inspo: Pinterest

I simply type in the names of all the colours I want in the palette and then add "colour palette" at the end.

Some favourite wall paints:

• Ghost Writer (PPG, PPG1007-3, greige), but ideally brightened, Also SW Mindful Gray

https://encycolorpedia.com/bcb7ad

https://westmagnoliacharm.com/ppg-ghost-writer-ppg1007-3/painting/

- #bcb7ad Hex Color Code

- Exact Matching Paints:

Glidden Ghost Writer / PPG1007-3

PPG Pittsburgh Paints Ghost Writer / PPG1007-3

Sherwin-Williams Mindful Gray - 7016

- M’s notes: Picking a greige for bedroom walls was probably the single most stressful "not actually a big deal" thing of my entire life that for me realistically was a big deal. Second was getting a Chinese name. Practically countless considerations later, Ghost Writer was the answer, though we might have lightened it. Also, it is worth considering that all the rooms it is used in are well-lit with natural lighting from sizable windows.

• Solid Opal BWC-06 (white or off-white, Behr)

https://www.behr.com/consumer/ColorDetailView/BWC-06

- LRV 83 R 238 G 234 B 226

Yellow color family

Much like its delicate namesake gemstone, Solid Opal is an off-white hue with hints of pink for elevated elegance.

- The hexadecimal color code #eeeae4 is a very light shade of brown. In the RGB color model #eeeae4 is composed of 93.33% red, 91.76% green and 89.41% blue. In the HSL color space #eeeae4 has a hue of 36° (degrees), 23% saturation and 91% lightness. This color has an approximate wavelength of 577.52 nm.

- M’s notes: Feels more brilliant and slightly warm than others, almost like a deep white instead of a gallery white if that makes sense. This was our easy first choice for the basement apartment.
