if the sound of crying was a song

I remember in the car, him crying when I played Someone You Loved.

      He couldn't even speak. 

      No sobbing, but simply turning through the streets with tears rolling.

      I apologized, and said sorry I didn't emphasize enough that it's sad. 

      He said he just wasn't expecting it like that.

      This song sounds like the very sound of crying itself, to me. The verses morph and rise in grief, and the breaths between lines sound like breaths between sobs.
